APPALOOSA
(R) -Baxter Avenue Theatres
Virgil Cole (director/co-writer Ed Harris) and Everett
Hitch (Viggo Mortensen) are two gunmen who arrive in Appaloosa
to find a small, dusty and lawless town suffering at the hands
of renegade rancher Randall Bragg (Jeremy Irons). Bragg has
not only taken supplies, horses and women for his own, but
also has left the city marshal and a deputy for dead. In Bragg
they find an unusually wily adversary who raises the stakes by
playing with emotions. Hired to defend the town against the
actions of the renegade rancher, Cole and Hitch find their
plans disrupted by the arrival of an attractive widow (Renée
Zellweger). Co-starring Timothy Spall and Lance Henriksen.

IN SEARCH OF A MIDNIGHT KISS
(NR) -Village 8 Theatres
LOUISVILLE EXCLUSIVE
Wilson (Scoot
McNairy) is 29 years old and has just had
the worst year of his life. He is new to Los Angeles, has no
date, no concrete plans and every intention of locking the
doors and forgetting the last year ever happened. That is
until his best friend, Jacob (Brian McGuire), browbeats him
into posting a personal ad on Craig's List. When Vivian (Sara
Simmonds), a strong-willed woman hell-bent on being with the
right guy at the stroke of midnight responds, a chaotic,
hilarious, and touching journey through the black and white
streets of L.A. begins. In the waning hours of the year,
emotional vulnerability and bitterly honest humor are waiting
around every corner. Written and directed by Alex Holdridge.

CHOKE
(R) -Baxter Avenue Theatres
Victor Mancini
(Sam Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, keeps his
increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Anjelica Huston), in an
expensive private medical hospital by working days as a
historical re-enactor at a Colonial Williamsburg theme park.
At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale
restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy
patrons who "save" him. When Ida reveals that she
has withheld the shocking truth of his father's identity,
Victor enlists the aid of his best friend, Denny (Brad
Williams Henke), and his mother's beautiful attending
physician, Dr. Paige Marshall (Kelly Macdonald), to solve the
mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is
lost forever. A satirical comedy written and directed by Clark
Gregg, based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club).
